Published 02 December 2009
Details of the next TREC Event - Saturday, 12th December 2009

Activities will take place between 11am and 4pm. Tea and coffee will be provided.

The day will feature:

  • a creative writing workshop
  • a networking session for SOFFAs (supporters, friends, family, allies)
  • a young people's networking group (18-25)
  • film screenings
  • plus lots of opportunities to meet people, self-organise and chat

Running throughout the day, there will also be:

  • a Sexual Health Clinic sponsored by Manchester Centre for Sexual Health
  • a Transphobic Hate Crime Reporting Surgery sponsored by the Crime and Disorder Partnership.

Finally, we will also be launching the Shared Histories, Shared Futures Project, funded by a Celebr8 Community Cohesion Award. The purpose of this project is to bring young and older people from lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans communities together to talk about the events in our histories. We will be filming individual and group interviews over the next few months and making a DVD to be distributed across the North West. We would love to have you involved and to hear your stories. More information to follow in due course.

Many thanks and we hope you can join us!
